It features alternating surface finishes: a high-polished bezel and caseback ring contrasting with straight-grained satin-brushed case flanks. The signature soldered, curved Lange lugs have polished bevels and a slight step where they meet the mid-case. Sourced from solid argenté sterling silver. It is constructed on multiple stepped planes: A sunken central disc bordered by a recessed outer ring, Classic black printed Arabic numerals framed by the historic "Chemin de Fer" (railway track) minute scale with small trefoil corner accents at the quarters. A deeply recessed subsidiary seconds subdial positioned at 6 o'clock. The collection name "1815" honors the birth year of Ferdinand Adolph Lange, who founded Saxon fine watchmaking in Glashütte in 1845.
