Good vintage condition. Damages on the dial as shown in the images and video. Tested and calibrated timekeeping, passed water pressure test, flawless complications. Hairlines blemishes on the golden surfaces. Original box and papers are not included. Backed by a 2-year warranty and a 30-day return window. While most collectors associate the Ellipse with a portrait layout (vertical orientation), this specific reference stands out for its bold, landscape-oriented design. Look closely at the bottom of the dial flanking the "Swiss" stamp; you will see two small circles. This Sigma dial mark legally indicated to buyers in the 1970s that the underlying dial plate and the applied indices were constructed entirely from solid, non-tarnishing gold. The mesmerizing deep blue color on vintage Patek Philippe dials wasn't achieved through standard painting or anodizing. It is a proprietary process known as "Blue Gold." The dial plate was made of solid 18kt gold mixed with a secret alloy blend, which was then chemically treated and fired under extreme heat to draw out the color from the gold itself. SKU: 046769
